Create a room or a Space

Start a new Space for a group, or add rooms inside one.

What it is

A new Space starts with a Walkie room and a General chat. You can add more rooms any time.

When to use it

Use it when you start a new group, or need a room for a new area, shift or job.

How to do it

  1. New Space: tap Switch Space › New Space. Give it a name (like Family or Site crew) and tap Create Space.

  2. New room: on the Talk tab, tap New room. Type a name and, if you like, what it’s for.

  3. Tap More options to choose the Kind of room (Walkie + chat or Chat only), Ways to talk, Who can join, a PIN and transcripts.

  4. Tap Create room. Then invite people: Create an invitation.
