Use the dispatch console (beta)

See every room and who’s talking, talk from your computer and monitor several rooms.

What it is

The KeyUp dispatch console is a web page you open in a browser, built for someone who follows several rooms at once. It’s part of Radio Bridge, which is in beta. During beta, we send the link to Spaces that use Radio Bridge, and your Space owner or admin can share it with you.

When to use it

Use it at a desk: a dispatcher, a supervisor, or whoever keeps an eye on the radios and the crew.

How to do it

  1. Open the link your admin gave you. The page is titled “KeyUp Dispatch” with a “Beta” badge. Sign in with your KeyUp Username and Password, then tap Sign in.

  2. If a banner says “Your browser paused sound until you click”, tap Turn on sound so you can hear rooms.

  3. The top bar has a Space dropdown and a connection pill (“Live in 2 rooms”, “Connecting” or “Idle”). The Rooms panel lists every room, showing “N here” or “<name> is talking”.

  4. Tap the speaker icon next to a room to start monitoring it (its tooltip says “Monitor this room”; tap again to “Stop monitoring”). You can monitor several rooms at once.

  5. Select a room to see its status line (“Nobody is talking”, “<name> is talking”, “You are talking” or “Nobody is here right now”) and its people list, with device labels like “Phone”, “Watch”, “Web” and “Radio bridge”. To talk, press and hold Hold to talk, or hold the space bar on your keyboard.
