I can’t hear anyone

Check the room, the speaker button, your volume and your devices.

What it is

If a room is silent, something is usually muted or pointed at the wrong output.

When to use it

Use this when a room is silent but you think people are talking. Try the steps in order.

How to do it

  1. Make sure you’re in the room. The room list shows You’re here next to it.

    A muted room shows Muted.

  2. Under the talk button, if it says Muted, tap it to unmute (Unmute the room).

  3. Go to You › What you hear. Make sure Play sound on this phone is on and Volume boost isn’t at 0.

  4. Check Sound comes out of. Try Automatic (recommended).

  5. In You › Devices, make sure this device says Sound on.

  6. Turn up your phone’s media volume with the side buttons.

  7. Can’t hear one person only? Tap them in the room and check their volume.
