Control AI costs

Set a monthly question limit and pick a cheap model. Your AI provider bills you, not KeyUp.

What it is

The assistant runs on the Space owner’s own AI account, so that AI company bills the Space owner directly for what the assistant uses. KeyUp doesn’t add any AI charge.

When to use it

Use this if you want to cap what the assistant can spend, or keep costs low from the start.

How to do it

In Space settings › AI assistant, set an optional Monthly question limit. Once a Space hits it, the assistant stops answering until the next month, and talking keeps working as normal.
Pick a fast, low-cost model when you add your key. These cost less per question and answer quickly, which is a good fit for short questions in a room.
Check the questions asked this month counter in Space settings to see how much the assistant is being used.
